About

Exploring the intersection of food, animals, and innovation.

I am an international expert in sustainable food systems, currently serving as senior communications manager for The Good Food Institute APAC—Asia’s leading alternative protein think tank—where I leverage technology to reduce the impacts of our food system on other species. I previously worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations—the UN’s top authority on food policy.

Prior to becoming a food technology advocate, I worked at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for 13 years, where I oversaw grassroots campaigns, represented the organization through national media interviews, and created youth-focused advocacy networks on multiple continents. A restless adventurer, I have traveled to more than 40 countries, including Bhutan, Myanmar, Cuba, Egypt, Vietnam, and Tanzania.

I hold a certificate in cartography from Esri, a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University, and studied at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society.

I currently live in Sierra Madre, California, with my wife, Meghan, daughter, Nellie, and dog, Pearl.
